The polite break-up follow-up

The last email in a sequence. Gives an easy out and often gets the reply the earlier ones didn't.

Subject: should I close this out?

Hi {{FirstName}},

I've reached out a couple of times about {{value}} — no worries if it's not
a priority right now.

Mind if I close the loop? If timing's just off, tell me when to check back
and I'll disappear until then.

{{YourName}}

The break-up email works because it removes pressure and triggers loss aversion. Send it 3–5 business days after your previous touch, as the final message in the sequence.

Notes

  • Keep it genuinely low-pressure — don’t guilt-trip.
  • “When to check back” gives a warm off-ramp that often becomes a real date.
